1KD EGR Blanking Plates – Stainless Steel (Set of 2)
CRC Performance Series Off-Road Use Only 1KD-FTV Specific Blank Both Ends Stainless Steel Free Express AU Shipping
Stainless steel EGR blanking plate set for Toyota 1KD-FTV engines.
Designed to fully block EGR flow at both ends, this two-plate kit helps prevent carbon buildup, boost leaks and EGR cooler failures — a common issue on higher-kilometre or off-road / tuned 1KD setups.
*Off-Road & Competition Use Only*
💡 Why blank both ends?
Blanking only one side leaves the EGR cooler pressurised. Blanking both ends eliminates EGR flow entirely and reduces the risk of:
-
Coolant leaks into intake or exhaust from cracked EGR coolers
-
Soot & sludge buildup inside the intake manifold
-
Sluggish throttle response on older engines
-
Boost loss from leaking or sticking EGR valves

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this trigger a check-engine light (CEL)?
In most cases, yes — depending on ECU strategy. Many off-road builds use a recalibrated tune or EGR management to suppress related DTCs.
Should I blank one end or both ends?
Both ends. This prevents pressurising the EGR cooler and helps avoid leaks and failures.
Do I need sealant or new gaskets?
Sealant is typically not required. Reuse good OEM gaskets if serviceable, or install new gaskets for best results.
Is a tune required?
Not required for installation, but off-road ECU calibration may improve drivability and prevent EGR-related fault codes.
Will this pass a roadworthy or emissions test?
No. This product is for off-road/competition use only.
