Set of 4 Γ Brand New Genuine Denso 11-code common rail injectors β direct-fit replacement for 2005β2006/08 Toyota Hilux N70 KUN26 1KD-FTV Euro 3 engines (pre-EGR cooler). The 11-code is the original G2 Denso injector for the early 1KD platform. These are considered wearing items on pre-2007 models and are the most commonly replaced 1KD injector. OEM reliability, no core return required.
These 11-code Denso injectors suit the following early 1KD-FTV Euro 3 vehicles:
β Direct-fit OEM replacement β Genuine Denso 11-code (part numbers 23670-0L050 / Denso 095000-8290 / 260100-4040). No modifications required.
Note:Β If you're unsure which code your Hilux runs, drop your VIN or Rego + State when adding to cart and we'll confirm before dispatch.
Injectors are only part of the job. Here's what else you need for a proper install:
Essential β Genuine Injector & Rocker Cover Fitting Kit:
30-piece genuine kit with all seals, washers and hardware. Never reuse old copper seat washers β they won't seal properly the second time.
π Add Injector & Rocker Cover Fitting KitEssential β Euro 3 Injector Lines (Rail to Injector):
Reusing old injector lines is the #1 cause of post-install leaks on 1KD engines. Always replace when fitting new injectors.
π Add Euro 3 Injector LinesWhile you're in there β upgrade to the Aluminium Rocker Cover:
Factory plastic covers warp and crack over time. Since you're pulling it off anyway, upgrade to alloy once and never deal with rocker cover leaks again.
π Add Aluminium Rocker Coverπ‘ Pro Tip: Always replace copper seat washers and injector lines when fitting new injectors. Reusing old hardware is the #1 cause of post-install leaks on 1KD engines.
These are standard OEM-spec 11-code injectors for stock vehicles. Running a tune, bigger turbo, or performance mods? Check out the upgraded 11-code options:
All upgraded options are Genuine Denso 11-code injectors with uprated nozzles. Tuning is required for any upgraded flow profile.
*Orders placed before 2 pm AEST on business days, subject to stock availability.
π‘ Not sure if 11-code is correct for your Hilux? Drop your VIN (or State + Rego) in the add to cart notes and we'll verify compatibility before we ship. Getting the right injector code is critical β the ECU will reject codes that don't match.
When you provide your rego or VIN we'll confirm the injector type your vehicle left the factory with. However, this may be incorrect if the injectors, harness, or ECU have been previously changed (e.g. a second-hand engine swap or prior incorrect fitment).
β οΈ It's the customer's responsibility to verify injectors before installation. We recommend coding injectors to the ECU while still sealed in their clear bags so the calibration codes are read accurately. The most reliable method is to use a scan tool to read the injector codes currently stored in the ECU.
Q: What does "11 code" mean?
A: The code refers to the first two digits of the injector's calibration number, printed on the top of injector plug. 1KD-FTV engines used three generations β 11-code (2005β2006/08 Euro 3), 13-code (late 2006βmid 2009 Euro 4), and 18-code (mid 2009β2015 Euro 4). Each code is paired to a specific ECU calibration and they areΒ not interchangeable.
Q: How do I check if my Hilux has 11-code injectors?
A: Unplug the electrical connector on top of any injector and read the first two digits of the calibration code printed on the injector body. If it starts with "11", you have 11-code injectors. Alternatively, use a scan tool to read the injector codes stored in the ECU - this is the most accurate method, especially if the injectors have been replaced before.
Q: Can I fit 11-code injectors to a 13-code or 18-code Hilux?
A: No - the ECU calibration and injector coding are different between generations. The ECU will only accept codes that match its programming. 13-code and 18-code ECUs will reject 11-codes. You must use the correct code for your vehicle.
Q: What's the difference between 11-code and 13-code 1KD injectors?
A: 11-code injectors are the original Euro 3 G2 Denso design (2005β2006/08) and do not have DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating on internal components. This makes them more prone to wear over time, particularly cold-start sticking. 13-code injectors (late 2006βmid 2009 Euro 4) introduced an improved upper spring and DLC-coated armature for better durability. The 11 and 13-code have similar flow rates, but their ECU calibrations are different and they cannot be swapped.
Q: Why are 11-code injectors considered wearing items?
A: Without DLC coating, the internal armature and control valve in 11-code injectors wear faster than later generations. On pre-2007 1KD engines, Toyota considers these injectors wearing items that should be replaced when symptoms appear - typically cold knock, rough idle, or poor fuel trims.
Q: Do these injectors need ECU coding?
A: Yes - each of the four injectors has a unique calibration code that must be programmed into the ECU using a scan tool. Without correct coding, the engine will run rough, idle poorly, and fuel trims will be off. We recommend coding the injectors before fitting - ideally while still sealed in their clear bags so the codes are read accurately.
Q: Will new 11-code injectors fix cold-start diesel knock?
A: In most cases, yes. Worn 11-code injectors are the leading cause of cold-start rattle and diesel knock on early 1KD Hilux models. The armature can stick open when cold, causing uncontrolled fuel delivery and that characteristic knock. New injectors restore correct operation and significantly reduce or eliminate cold-start noise.
Q: How long do 11-code 1KD injectors last?
A: Without DLC coating, 11-code injectors typically have a shorter service life than later generations. Expect around 150,000β200,000 km on quality diesel with regular fuel filter changes. Fuel contamination (water or particulate) dramatically shortens lifespan. Pre-2007 models should budget for injector replacement as part of long-term maintenance.
Q: Should I replace the injector lines at the same time?
A: Strongly recommended. Injector feed lines should always be replaced when fitting new injectors to avoid incorrect sealing pressure, leaks, and potential fuel contamination. Button above for Euro 3 injector lines.
Q: Do I need a tune with standard 11-code injectors?
A: No tune required for OEM-spec 11-code injectors on a stock vehicle. They're a direct plug-and-play replacement. Tuning is only needed if running upgraded flow profiles (+30 / +60).
Q: Are these new or refurbished?
A: Brand new, Genuine Denso β not reconditioned, not remanufactured, not exchange. No core deposit, no core return. Supplied sealed in genuine Denso packaging.
Q: What are the OEM part numbers for these injectors?
A: The main Toyota part number is 23670-09330.
Denso part number is 095000-8290Β
Denso IAM part number is 260100-4040.
These suit the early 1KD-FTV Euro 3 (2005β2006/08, pre-EGR cooler) only.Β
