Set of 4 Γ Brand New Genuine Denso 13-code common rail injectors β direct-fit replacement for Toyota Prado 120 (and some early 150) 1KD-FTV Euro 4 engines. The later-revision 13-code (23670-30280 / 23670-39316) features an improved upper spring and DLC-coated armature to reduce cold-start knock β a significant improvement over early 13-code units. OEM reliability, no core return required.
These 13-code Denso injectors suit the following Prado 1KD-FTV vehicles:
β Direct-fit OEM replacement β Genuine Denso 13-code (Toyota part numbers 23670-30280 / 23670-39316, Denso Part numbersΒ 095000-7780 / 195000-1160). No modifications required.
Note: drop your VIN or Rego + State when adding to cart and we'll confirm before dispatch.
Injectors are only part of the job. Here's what else you need for a proper install:
Essential β Genuine Injector & Rocker Cover Fitting Kit:
30-piece genuine kit with all seals, washers and hardware. Never reuse old copper seat washers β they won't seal properly the second time.
π Add Injector & Rocker Cover Fitting KitEssential β Euro 4 Injector Lines (Rail to Injector):
Reusing old injector lines is the #1 cause of post-install leaks on 1KD engines. Always replace when fitting new injectors.
π Add Euro 4 Injector LinesWhile you're in there β upgrade to the Aluminium Rocker Cover:
Factory plastic covers warp and crack over time. Since you're pulling it off anyway, upgrade to alloy once and never deal with rocker cover leaks again.
π Add Aluminium Rocker Coverπ‘ Pro Tip: Always replace copper seat washers and injector lines when fitting new injectors. Reusing old hardware is the #1 cause of post-install leaks on 1KD engines.
These are standard OEM-spec 13-code injectors for stock Prados. Running a tune or performance mods? Check out the upgraded 13-code options:
All upgraded options are Genuine Denso 13-code injectors with uprated nozzles. Tuning is required for any upgraded flow profile.
*Orders placed before 2 pm AEST on business days, subject to stock availability.
π‘ Not sure if 13-code is correct for your Prado? The 120/150 crossover period can be tricky β some early 150s still use 13-code while most later 150s use 18-code. Drop your VIN (or State + Rego) in the add to cart notes and we'll verify factory compatibility before we ship.
When you provide your rego or VIN we'll confirm the injector type your Prado left the factory with. However, this may be incorrect if the injectors, harness, or ECU have been previously changed (e.g. a second-hand engine swap or prior incorrect fitment).
β οΈ It's the customer's responsibility to verify injectors before installation. We recommend coding injectors to the ECU while still sealed in their clear bags so the calibration codes are read accurately. The most reliable method is to use a scan tool to read the injector codes currently stored in the ECU.
Q: Will these suit a Prado 150 with 1KD?
A: Some early-build Prado 150s (KDJ150) around the 120/150 crossover period still use 13-code injectors, but most 150s from mid-2009 onward use 18-code. The only reliable way to confirm is by checking the injector code on the body or reading the codes from the ECU with a scan tool. Provide your VIN and we'll verify for you.
Q: What does "13 code" mean?
A: The code refers to the first two digits of the injector's calibration number, printed on the injector body. 1KD-FTV engines used three generations β 11-code (2005β2006 Euro 3), 13-code (late 2006βmid 2009 Euro 4), and 18-code (mid 2009β2015 Euro 4). Each code is paired to a specific ECU calibration and they are not interchangeable.
Q: How do I check if my Prado has 13-code injectors?
A: Unplug the electrical connector on top of any injector and read the first two digits of the calibration code printed on the injector body. If it starts with "13", you have 13-code injectors. Alternatively, use a scan tool to read the injector codes stored in the ECU β this is the most accurate method, especially if injectors have been replaced before.
Q: Were there different versions of the 13-code injector?
A: Yes. Early 13-code injectors (23670-30140 / Denso 095000-7030) were prone to cold-start knock and premature wear β these were the most problematic 1KD injectors produced. The later revision (23670-30280 / 23670-39316 / Denso 095000-7780) featured an improved upper spring and DLC-coated armature, significantly reducing cold knock and improving durability. We supply the later improved version.
Q: What symptoms suggest my Prado needs new injectors?
A: Common signs include hard cold starts, diesel knock or rattle when cold, rough idle, excessive injector correction values on a scan tool, white or grey smoke on start-up, and rising engine oil level from fuel dilution. If you're seeing any of these on a 1KD Prado, worn injectors are the most likely cause.
Q: Do these injectors need ECU coding?
A: Yes β each of the four injectors has a unique calibration code that must be programmed into the ECU using a scan tool. Each code must be assigned to its installed cylinder position β VIN-based coding alone is not sufficient for correct trim control.
Q: Do I need to perform pilot learn after coding?
A: Yes. After coding each injector's calibration, perform pilot injection quantity learning (pilot learn) using a scan tool for best idle quality, noise control, and accurate fuel trims. This step is essential for a clean result.
Q: Can I reuse my old seat washers and leak-off seals?
A: No β always replace copper seat washers and leak-off seals/lines when fitting new injectors. Reusing old hardware risks compression leaks, blow-by, and contamination that can damage brand new injectors.
Q: Should I replace the injector lines at the same time?
A: Strongly recommended. Injector feed lines should always be replaced when fitting new injectors to avoid incorrect sealing pressure, leaks, and potential fuel contamination.
Q: Do I need a tune with standard 13-code injectors?
A: No tune required for OEM-spec 13-code injectors on a stock Prado. They're a direct plug-and-play replacement. Tuning is only needed if running upgraded flow profiles (+30 / +50).
Q: Are these new or refurbished?
A: Brand new, Genuine Denso β not reconditioned, not remanufactured, not exchange. No core deposit, no core return. Supplied sealed in genuine Denso packaging.
Q: What are the OEM part numbers for these injectors?
A: Toyota part numbers for the later-revision 13-code include 23670-30280 and 23670-39316. The Denso part number is 095000-7780. The early-revision (23670-30140 / 095000-7030) is no longer recommended β we only supply the improved later version.
Q: Can I fit 13-code injectors to an 18-code Prado?
A: No β the ECU calibration and injector coding are different between generations. An 18-code ECU will reject 13-code calibration numbers. You must use the correct code for your vehicle.
