  • Use a new rocker cover gasket and provided injector pipe seals
  • Torque by feel only
  • Route the PCV/breather correctly (10AN adapter if required)
  • After first heat cycle, recheck for any oil seepage around the perimeter
  • Paint is durable but oil-based — keep clear of oil and heavy degreasers as they may damage the finish. Paint damage from chemical exposure is not covered under warranty

❓ FAQs

Will this fit all 1KD Hilux, Prado and Hiace models?

Yes — it’s designed for the 1KD-FTV platform. Check ancillary clearance on some Hiace models and ensure the correct gasket type is used.

Is a new gasket required when installing the alloy cover?

Highly recommended. Replace the rocker cover gasket and inspect grommets/seals to prevent oil seepage.

Does it include an oil cap or breather adapter?

No. The oil cap and the 10AN breather adapter are sold separately: see links in the “Recommended Accessories” section.

Is the alloy cover more durable than the plastic one?

The aluminium construction is more resistant to thermal cracking than older plastic covers and offers a premium finish.

What’s the typical lead time if it’s out of stock?
