Rocker cover compatibility: HPD alloy rocker covers, factory alloy rocker covers, and late-model plastic valve covers. All three are covered.

It does not suit the high-mounted oil filter 4JJ1. Some 4JJ1 variants use a high-mounted oil filter and a different top-end layout, and this cover will not sit properly on those. On those engines the oil filter is up on the side of the block instead of down low. Have a look before you order. If you cannot tell, send us a photo of your engine and we will confirm it.

This is 4JJ1 only. It does not fit a 4JJ3. The 4JJ3 has a different top-end layout and needs different dress-up parts.

Colour options and availability follow current HPD Thailand stock. If you need a particular colour urgently, ask us before you order.

• 10 to 15 minutes with basic hand tools. A socket set or spanners is all you need.
• Engine cool, ignition off. Standard engine bay common sense.
• Clean the mounting area on top of the rocker cover before you start.
• Position the cover over the injector hard-line area and test-fit before you tighten anything.
• Secure with the supplied hardware. Torque to the appropriate specification: hand-tight plus a small amount. These are dress-up fasteners into alloy, not head bolts.
• No major component removal. It bolts on over the existing rocker cover. Heavily modified engine bays may need a bit of access work.

This is a dress-up part. It will not add power, change airflow or improve fuel economy. What it does is cover the injector hard lines so the top of the engine looks tidy, and keep debris off them while it is there.

Check your oil filter location first. The high-mounted oil filter 4JJ1 is the one variant this will not fit, and it is the main reason these come back.

Anodised colours can look different in a photo to how they look in daylight. Ask us for pictures before you order if the exact shade matters to you. Returns need to be unused and in original packaging. If you want to change your colour choice, contact us straight away: we can usually swap it before the order ships.

HPD products carry the manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. That sits alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply regardless.

Q: Will this fit my 4JJ1 with the plastic valve cover?

A: Yes. It suits HPD alloy rocker covers, factory alloy rocker covers and late-model plastic valve covers.

Q: Does it fit the high-mounted oil filter engines?

A: No. Those 4JJ1 variants use a different top-end layout and the cover will not sit properly. Standard oil filter location means you are fine.

Q: How do I tell which one I have?

A: On the high-mounted engines the oil filter is up on the side of the block rather than down low. Send us a photo of your engine if you are not sure.

Q: Will this fit my D-MAX, Colorado or Rodeo?

A: If it is a 4JJ1-TC, yes: 2006 to 2012 and 2015 to 2019 D-MAX, 2008 to 2012 Colorado RC, 2007 to 2008 RA7 Rodeo. As long as it is not the high-mounted oil filter variant.

Q: Does this fit a 4JJ3?

A: No. This cover is 4JJ1 only.

Q: Are the colours anodised or painted?

A: Hard anodised. The colour penetrates the metal surface, so it will not chip or peel like paint, and it fades far slower than powder coat.

Q: Will it match my HPD bling kit?

A: The anodised colours are the same range HPD uses across its 4JJ1 dress-up parts, including rocker cover bolts and washers. Order matching colours and it will line up.

Q: Do I need to remove anything to install it?

A: Generally no. It bolts on over the existing rocker cover. Some heavily modified builds need minor access work.

Q: Does it do anything useful?

A: It is a dress-up part first. The practical bit is that it shields the injector hard lines from debris.
