⚑ Genuine Denso Bodies MCR Performance Nozzles 🧠 ECU Tune Required πŸ“¦ Same Day Dispatch* πŸ’³ Afterpay β€’ Humm β€’ Klarna β€’ Zip 🚚 Free Express Shipping AU

Modified Genuine Denso 13-Code High-Flow Injectors for Prado 1KD-FTV

Set of 4 Γ— Modified Genuine Denso 13-code injectors upgraded to +30%, +50%, or +100% flow β€” built for performance Prado 120 1KD-FTV builds with tuned ECUs, upgraded turbos, and supporting fuel system mods. Factory injector body with MCR upgraded nozzles - OEM durable. ECU remap required.

πŸš€ Upgrade Levels
  • +30% β€” Daily/touring with a tune. Stock turbo OK. Best all-rounder for towing and daily driving.
  • +50% β€” Medium-performance setups. Upgraded turbo, intercooler, exhaust.
  • +100% β€” High-performance builds. Big turbo, HP pump, forged internals recommended.

⚠️ ECU remap is required for all upgraded injector profiles. Running upgraded injectors without a tune will cause over-fueling, excessive smoke, and unsafe EGTs.

πŸ“¦ What You'll Need for Installation

Upgraded injectors are only part of the job. Here's what else you need:

Essential β€” Genuine Injector & Rocker Cover Fitting Kit:

30-piece genuine kit with all seals, washers and hardware. Never reuse old copper seat washers β€” they won't seal properly the second time.

πŸ›’ Add Injector & Rocker Cover Fitting Kit

Essential β€” Euro 4 Injector Lines (Rail to Injector):

Reusing old injector lines is the #1 cause of post-install leaks on 1KD engines.

πŸ›’ Add Euro 4 Injector Lines

While you're in there β€” upgrade to the Aluminium Rocker Cover:

Factory plastic covers warp and crack over time. Since you're pulling it off anyway, upgrade to alloy once and never deal with rocker cover leaks again.

πŸ›’ Add Aluminium Rocker Cover

πŸš™ Vehicle Compatibility
  • Toyota Prado 120 (KDJ120) β€” 1KD-FTV 3.0L (Euro 4, 13-code)
  • Toyota Prado 150 (KDJ150) β€” some early-build 150s around the 120/150 crossover period may also run 13-code. Provide your VIN to confirm.

βœ… Genuine Denso 13-code injector body β€” MCR upgraded nozzles - OEM durable.

Note: 13-code injectors are NOT compatible with 11-code or 18-code ECUs. If unsure which code your Prado runs, drop your VIN or Rego + State in the add to cart notes and we'll confirm before dispatch.

πŸ“Œ Fitment Note

πŸ’‘ Not sure if 13-code is correct for your Prado? The 120/150 crossover period can be tricky β€” some early 150s still use 13-code while most later 150s use 18-code. Drop your VIN (or State + Rego) in the add to cart notes and we'll verify factory compatibility before we ship.

⚠️ Modified / Oversized Injector Disclaimer

Where a modified or "+size" injector is advertised or sold as a Genuine injector (of any brand, including but not limited to Denso), it is expressly understood that the term Genuine refers only to the injector body, not the nozzle.

In such cases, the original nozzle has been replaced or modified to achieve the specified increased flow rate, and therefore is no longer the original OEM component. The modification process, performance outcome, and characteristics may vary between manufacturers or suppliers.

Buyers should be aware that while the injector body remains genuine, the nozzle and overall flow characteristics differ from original OEM specifications.

⚠️ VIN & Compatibility Disclaimer

When you provide your rego or VIN we'll confirm the injector type your Prado left the factory with. However, this may be incorrect if the injectors, harness, or ECU have been previously changed.

⚠️ It's the customer's responsibility to verify injectors before installation. We recommend coding injectors to the ECU while still sealed in their clear bags so the calibration codes are read accurately.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need tuning for these injectors?

A: Yes β€” an ECU remap is essential for all upgraded injector profiles (+30, +50, +100). The tune calibrates fueling, rail pressure, and injection timing to match the increased flow, keeping EGTs within safe limits and maximising performance. Running upgraded injectors without a tune will cause over-fueling, excessive smoke, and potential engine damage.

Q: Which upgrade level is best for towing?

A: +30% is the sweet spot for towing β€” it provides noticeable extra torque under load without compromising reliability when tuned correctly. It's the most popular choice for Prado owners who tow caravans, boats, or camper trailers and want a responsive, safe daily driver.

Q: Can I run +30% on the factory HP3 pump?

A: Generally yes, if the pump is healthy. +50% and +100% usually need a higher-output or stroker pump for consistent rail pressure under load.

Q: Can I run +100% injectors on stock internals?

A: Not recommended. +100% injectors are designed for full-build engines with forged pistons, upgraded fuel pump, big turbo, and supporting mods. On stock internals, the increased cylinder pressures can cause serious engine damage. Stick with +30% or +50% unless your build supports it.

Q: How are these different from standard 13-code injectors?

A: The injector body is a genuine Denso 13-code unit. The original nozzle has been replaced with an MCR upgraded nozzle to deliver increased fuel flow (+30%, +50%, or +100% over standard). They retain factory build quality, ECU compatibility, and calibration codes β€” but require an ECU remap to run correctly.

Q: Do they come with calibration codes?

A: Yes β€” every injector includes its unique calibration code, which must be programmed into the ECU during installation. Each code must be assigned to its installed cylinder position using a scan tool. Perform pilot learn after coding for best idle and noise control.

Q: Will upgraded injectors cause more smoke?

A: With a proper tune, smoke is well-managed. Upgraded injectors with correct tuning often produce less smoke under load than a worn standard set, thanks to better atomisation and more complete combustion. Smoke is primarily a tuning issue, not an injector issue.

Q: What supporting mods do I need?

A: Depends on the flow level. For +30%: a quality tune is the minimum, intercooler and exhaust recommended. For +50%: upgraded intercooler, 3β€³ exhaust, and boost/EGT monitoring are strongly recommended. For +100%: full build β€” big turbo, HP fuel pump, forged internals, quality intercooler, exhaust, and comprehensive monitoring.

Q: What symptoms suggest my Prado injectors are worn?

A: Hard cold starts, diesel knock when cold, rough idle, excessive injector correction values on a scan tool, white or grey smoke on start-up, rising engine oil level from fuel dilution, and poor fuel economy.

Q: Should I replace seat washers and leak-off seals?

A: Yes β€” always replace copper seat washers, leak-off seals, and injector lines when fitting new injectors. Buttons above for the fitting kit and injector lines.

Q: Will these suit a Prado 150?

A: Some early-build Prado 150s around the 120/150 crossover still use 13-code, but most 150s from mid-2009 onward use 18-code. Provide your VIN and we'll confirm.

Q: Are the injector bodies genuine Denso?

A: Yes β€” the injector body is a Genuine Denso 13-code unit. The nozzle has been replaced with an MCR upgraded performance nozzle to achieve the specified flow increase. See our Modified Injector Disclaimer for full details.
