❓ FAQs

Will +50% or +100% injectors smoke more without a tune?
Yes. Higher-flow injectors require an ECU remap to manage pulse width, timing and rail pressure. Tuning minimises smoke and keeps EGTs safe.
Can I run +30% injectors on the factory HP3 pump?
Generally yes, if the pump is healthy. +50% and +100% usually need a higher-output or stroker pump for consistent rail pressure.
Do these come pre-coded or do I code them after install?
Each injector has a unique calibration/QR code. Code per cylinder after install and perform pilot learn for best idle and noise control.
What signs show my Prado injectors are worn?
Hard cold starts, diesel knock when cold, rough idle, excessive correction values, start-up smoke, rising oil level (fuel dilution) or poor economy.
Should I replace seat washers and leak-off gear?
Yes — always fit new copper seat washers and renew leak-off seals/lines. It prevents compression leaks, blow-by and contamination.
