Brand New Genuine Denso 18-Code Injectors for Prado 1KD-FTV Euro 4

Set of 4 Γ— Brand New Genuine Denso 18-code common rail injectors β€” direct-fit replacement for Toyota Prado 150 Series (KDJ150) 1KD-FTV Euro 4 engines (2009 onwards). The 18-code is the latest-generation G3 Denso injector for the 1KD platform, featuring DLC-coated internals, faster reaction times, and improved atomisation over earlier 13-code units. OEM reliability, no core return required.

πŸš™ Vehicle Compatibility

These 18-code Denso injectors suit the following Prado 1KD-FTV vehicles:

  • Toyota Prado 150 Series (KDJ150) β€” 1KD-FTV 3.0L (2009 onwards, Euro 4, 18-code)

βœ… Direct-fit OEM replacement β€” Genuine Denso 18-code (part numbers 23670-39365 / 23670-30400 / Denso 295050-0460). No modifications required.

Note: 18-code injectors are NOT interchangeable with 11-code or 13-code models. The ECU will only accept injector calibration codes that match its programming. Earlier Prado 120s typically use 13-code. If you're unsure which code your Prado runs, drop your VIN or Rego + State when you add to cart and we'll confirm before dispatch.

πŸ”₯ Need More Flow?

These are standard OEM-spec 18-code injectors for stock Prados. Running a tune or performance mods? Check out the upgraded 18-code options:

All upgraded options are Genuine Denso 18-code injector bodies with MCR upgraded nozzles. Tuning is required for any upgraded flow profile.

πŸ’‘ Need the Full Install Kit?

We stock everything you need for a clean Prado 1KD injector install:

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip: Always replace copper seat washers, leak-off seals, and injector lines when fitting new injectors. Reusing old hardware is the #1 cause of post-install leaks and contamination on 1KD engines.

πŸ“Œ Fitment Note

πŸ’‘ Not sure if 18-code is correct for your Prado? Earlier Prado 120s use 13-code, and some early 150s around the crossover may also be 13-code. Drop your VIN (or State + Rego) in the add to cart notes and we'll verify factory compatibility before we ship.

⚠️ VIN & Compatibility Disclaimer

When you provide your rego or VIN we'll confirm the injector type your Prado left the factory with. However, this may be incorrect if the injectors, harness, or ECU have been previously changed (e.g. a second-hand engine swap or prior incorrect fitment).

⚠️ It's the customer's responsibility to verify injectors before installation. We recommend coding injectors to the ECU while still sealed in their clear bags so the calibration codes are read accurately. The most reliable method is to use a scan tool to read the injector codes currently stored in the ECU.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does "18 code" mean?

A: The code refers to the first two digits of the injector's calibration number, printed on the injector body. 1KD-FTV engines used three generations β€” 11-code (2005–2006 Euro 3), 13-code (late 2006–mid 2009 Euro 4), and 18-code (mid 2009–2015 Euro 4). Each code is paired to a specific ECU calibration and they are not interchangeable.

Q: How do I check if my Prado has 18-code injectors?

A: Unplug the electrical connector on top of any injector and read the first two digits of the calibration code printed on the injector solenoid. If it starts with "18", you have 18-code injectors. Alternatively, use a scan tool to read the injector codes stored in the ECU β€” this is the most accurate method, especially if injectors have been replaced before or engine harness and ecu swapped.

Q: Will these suit a Prado 120?

A: Prado 120s generally use 13-code injectors, not 18-code. Some early Prado 150s around the 120/150 crossover may also use 13-code. The ECU will reject codes that don't match β€” provide your VIN and we'll confirm which code is correct for your vehicle.

Q: What makes 18-code better than 13-code?

A: 18-code injectors are the G3 Denso design with DLC-coated internals, faster piezo-like reaction times, and improved fuel atomisation. This translates to cleaner combustion, reduced cold-start knock, and better long-term durability compared to 13-code units.

Q: Do these injectors need ECU coding?

A: Yes β€” each of the four injectors has a unique calibration code that must be programmed into the ECU using a scan tool. Each code must be assigned to its installed cylinder position. Perform pilot injection quantity learning (pilot learn) after coding for best idle quality and noise control.

Q: Will new 18-code injectors fix rough idle or cold-start diesel knock?

A: In most cases, yes. Worn injectors are the leading cause of cold-start rattle, rough idle, and poor fuel trims on 1KD Prados. New genuine injectors restore correct operation and significantly reduce or eliminate these symptoms.

Q: What symptoms suggest my Prado needs new injectors?

A: Common signs include hard cold starts, diesel knock or rattle when cold, rough idle, excessive injector correction values on a scan tool, white or grey smoke on start-up, rising engine oil level from fuel dilution, and poor fuel economy.

Q: How long do 18-code 1KD injectors last?

A: On quality diesel with regular fuel filter changes, expect 200,000–250,000+ km. The biggest threat to injector life is fuel contamination β€” water or particulate in the fuel system.

Q: Should I replace the injector lines at the same time?

A: Strongly recommended. Injector feed lines are a one-use crush-fit β€” reusing old lines risks incorrect sealing pressure, leaks, and potential fuel contamination. We stock the Genuine Toyota Injector Lines for this reason.

Q: Do I need a tune with standard 18-code injectors?

A: No tune required for OEM-spec 18-code injectors on a stock Prado. They're a direct plug-and-play replacement. Tuning is only needed if running upgraded flow profiles (+30 / +50 / +100).

Q: Are these new or refurbished?

A: Brand new, Genuine Denso β€” not reconditioned, not remanufactured, not exchange. No core deposit, no core return. Supplied sealed in genuine Denso packaging.

Q: What are the OEM part numbers for these injectors?

A: Toyota part numbers include 23670-39365 and 23670-30400. Denso part numbers include 295050-0460 and Denso IAM 260100-6000. All are the same 18-code G3 injector for the 1KD-FTV Euro 4 platform.
