The ProVent separates oil mist from crankcase blow-by gas before it goes back into the intake. Clean air carries on to the engine. The captured oil is drained from the can, or returned to the sump if you set up the optional return line.

• Recommended: competent qualified mechanic or experienced DIYer. Allow roughly 2 to 3 hours.

• Replace the filter element around every 40,000 km (replacement elements available).
• Inspect hoses and connections during regular services.

Q: Does one kit cover both 4JJ1-TC and 4JJ1-TCX?

A: Yes. Direction Plus lists the PV644DPK for both, in the D-Max and the MU-X, across the years shown in Vehicle Fitment.

Q: I have a 2021 D-Max. Will it fit?

A: If it is the 4JJ3, no. Use the PV645DPK. Send us your VIN if unsure.

Q: Does fitting a catch can void my warranty?

A: Fitting a quality aftermarket part does not of itself void a new-vehicle warranty under Australian Consumer Law. See the AAAA guidance. Direction Plus states this kit does not void vehicle warranties.

Q: Does the oil return to the sump?

A: Your choice. Collect it in the can and drain it periodically, or set up the optional return line to the sump.

Q: How often do I service it?

A: Check the oil level every 5,000 to 10,000 km and drain when needed. Replace the element around every 40,000 km.
