What Else You Need for the Install
- Genuine 4JJ3 Injector Seat Washer Set 8-98362076-1. Single-use crush seals. The 4JJ3 washer is different to the 4JJ1 washer.
- New injector-to-cover seals and leak-off clips are strongly recommended while the cover is off.
Pro tip: never reuse the seat washers. A reused washer is the usual cause of injector rattle and blow-by on a fresh set.
Fitting and Coding Notes
- Enter each injector's A9 compensation code into the ECU in the correct cylinder position, then run the Isuzu injector learn procedure with a suitable scan tool.
- Clean the bores and seat faces, fit new seat washers, torque the clamp bolts to Isuzu specification.
- Clean-room practice. A single speck of grit in a common rail injector is enough to cause a misfire or a stuck needle.
- Installation by a qualified diesel technician recommended.
