Same injector, four names. Siemens VDO became Continental in 2007, Continental spun its powertrain arm off as Vitesco in 2021, and Vitesco merged into Schaeffler in 2024. The box may say Schaeffler Vitesco, Vitesco or Continental VDO. The part inside is the same genuine OE injector.

- ECU remap. Not optional. The factory map does not know the nozzle changed.
- Turbo. Runs on the factory turbo with a tune. For real gains pair with the GTB2256VK Genuine Garrett turbo or a larger upgrade.
- Fuel filtration. A Fuel Manager post-filter is cheap insurance on a P5AT fuel system.
Fitting and Coding Notes
- Fit new copper seat washers and new high pressure lines. Fit the P5AT injector line set with every injector change.
- Program each injector correction code to its cylinder (Ford IDS, FORScan or equivalent), then run the injector learn procedure.
- Clean-room practice. Cap every open port. One speck of grit is enough to stick a needle.
- Installation by a qualified diesel technician recommended.

The injector body remains genuine. The nozzle and the overall flow characteristics differ from original OEM specification. Flow percentages are nominal and vary with rail pressure, pulse width and test bench.
Any change to emissions equipment or calibration must comply with the laws that apply to your vehicle and its use.
