Professional ECU tuning is required to safely reach power targets. Prime the turbo with clean oil before first start, check oil feed and return for flow and leaks, inspect intercooler piping and clamps after install, and confirm boost control and EGTs during tuning.

• Upgraded intercooler (front mount or large top mount) and quality piping

• Boost gauge and EGT gauge
• Fuel system: can run on the factory fuel system with a conservative tune. Higher power will need fuel system upgrades, discuss with your tuner.

Do I need a tune with this turbo?
Yes. A professional ECU remap is required to use the extra airflow and keep EGTs, boost and fuelling within safe limits.

Is this turbo a direct bolt-on?
It is designed as a direct bolt-on to the factory-style manifold and dump pipe for early-model 1GD applications. Always check fitment against your existing unit.

What power can I realistically expect?
With supporting mods (intercooler, exhaust, intake) and quality tuning, this turbo can support 240+ RWHP. Results vary with fuel system, tune quality and dyno type.

Will this work with a stock fuel system?
It can be run on the factory fuel system with a conservative tune. Pushing for higher power may need fuel system upgrades.

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2?
Stage 2 runs a larger 44mm compressor wheel and an Inconel turbine for more airflow and higher power capability than Stage 1.

Does this include an actuator?
Yes. A brand new actuator is included (not pictured in some photos).

Will this fit later model 1GD engines?
This is designed for early-model 1GD-FTV (2015 to 2019/2020). Later models may have a different turbo configuration. Contact us with your VIN to confirm.

Can I install this myself?
Mechanically capable owners can, but professional installation is strongly recommended. The turbo must be primed correctly and professional tuning is mandatory.
