The factory 1KD rocker cover is glass-reinforced plastic. Heat cycles make it brittle, then it cracks and leaks oil. This precision-machined aluminium cover fixes that for good, and it adds some colour to the engine bay while it is at it. Pick your finish on this page.

Q: Which 1KD engines does this fit?
A: Toyota Hilux N70 and Prado 120 / 150 with the 1KD-FTV, non-DPF. It will not fit Prado models that use the plastic engine shroud.

Q: What seals come with it?
A: One 1KD rocker cover gasket, four injector solenoid seals and four genuine Toyota injector pipe seals to suit the alloy cover.

Q: Can I torque the bolts to factory spec?
A: No. Tighten by feel only, do not torque to 6 Nm. Over-tightening can distort the alloy cover and damage the gasket.

Q: Are the HPD parts in the photos included?
A: No. HPD accessories shown are sold separately. The HPD washer and titanium bolt kit is the usual finishing touch.
