Performance exhaust valves for the 1KD-FTV, built for the heat, stress and corrosive chamber environment of a high-output diesel. If the head is coming off a serious build, these go back in instead of tired factory valves.
Construction
- One-piece forged 21-4N stainless steel valve bodies (non-magnetic)
- Stellite welded valve faces for extreme temperature durability
- Fully nitride hardened bodies
- Induction hardened 4Cr9Si2 friction-welded stem tips
- Fully machined heads with swirl-polished underside radii to the valve face for better flow and chamber swirl
- 30° back-cut up to the valve face

Q: Do these need machining to fit?
A: They fit the 1KD head, but any valve job should include a proper seat cut and clearance check by your head machinist.
Q: When are performance valves worth it?
A: Any time the head is off a tuned engine that sees sustained high EGTs. The Stellite face and nitride hardening exist for exactly that duty cycle.
