HPD 4JJ1 Rocker Cover Bolt and Washer Set
14 Polished Stainless Bolts | 14 Anodised Washers | Isuzu and Holden 4JJ1-TC
Factory 4JJ1 rocker cover bolts are plain and they go dull fast. This is the HPD replacement set: 14 polished stainless bolts and 14 anodised washers, imported from HPD Special Part Racing Shop in Thailand. It suits an HPD alloy cover or a factory cover. It is a finish upgrade, not a power upgrade.
What It Does
- Replaces all 14 rocker cover fasteners. Direct swap for the factory hardware on a 4JJ1-TC cover.
- Polished stainless bolts. Better corrosion resistance than the factory black hardware and a finish that stays clean.
- Anodised washers, your choice of colour. Select the colour on this page.
- Works on HPD alloy covers and factory covers. Same bolt pattern either way.
- Cosmetic. Same strength job as the factory bolts, better looking and more corrosion resistant. No power claims here.
Fitment
- Holden Rodeo RA7. 4JJ1-TC 3.0L, 2007 to 2008.
- Holden Colorado RC. 4JJ1-TC 3.0L, 2008 to 2012.
- Isuzu D-MAX. 4JJ1-TC 3.0L, 2006 to 2012.
Count the bolts across the front of your cover. Euro 2 and Euro 3 4JJ1 covers, which is what this set is for, have 3 bolts across the front and 14 in total. Euro 4 4JJ1 and 4JJ3 covers have 4 bolts across the front and 15 in total, and those need the HPD 4JJ1 Euro 4 and 4JJ3 Rocker Cover Bolt Set instead. Open the bonnet and count before you order.
What Is Included
- 14 x HPD stainless steel bolts. Polished finish.
- 14 x HPD anodised washers. One colour per kit, selected at checkout.
Washer colours commonly available are blue, red, gold, purple and black. Availability moves around, so contact us if you need a specific colour confirmed before you order. Each kit ships with 14 matching washers. If you want a mixed set, ask and we will see what we can do.
Which 4JJ1 Bolt Set Do I Want
- This listing: polished stainless. Euro 2 and Euro 3 4JJ1, 3 bolts across the front, 14 total. The classic chrome-look option.
- Ti burnt blue, same cover. Identical fitment and the same 14 bolts and 14 washers, with a heat-treated burnt blue finish instead. Use the 4JJ1 Ti Burnt Blue Bolts, Euro 2 and 3.
- Euro 4 4JJ1 and 4JJ3. 4 bolts across the front, 15 total, and the kit includes spacers. Use the Euro 4 and 4JJ3 bolt set.
- Buying a cover as well? The HPD 4JJ1 Aluminium Rocker Cover is the usual pairing for these bolts.
Fitting Notes
- No modifications and no special tools. A standard socket set is enough. Remove the old bolts, fit the HPD bolts with the washers.
- Swap one fastener at a time so the cover stays aligned and the gasket stays put.
- Follow the factory rocker cover torque specification. Check a workshop manual if you do not have the figure. Overtightening causes leaks and damage.
- Alloy covers get tightened by feel. Snug is enough.
- No thread sealant. Rocker cover bolts do not normally need it. Use a proper gasket instead.
- Stainless into an alloy cover is fine. The washers spread the load and help keep the two metals apart.

Read This Before You Order
This set is cosmetic. It does not add power, it does not change how the engine runs, and it will not stop an oil leak. If the cover is weeping, the gasket and grommets are the fix.
Confirm the bolt count and layout on your own cover before ordering, particularly on a 2012 build, which is the year the front bolt pattern changes over. Returns need the parts unused and in the original packaging.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How many bolts and washers do I get?
A: 14 bolts and 14 washers. That is the full fastener count for a Euro 2 or Euro 3 4JJ1 rocker cover.
Q: How do I know if mine is the 14-bolt cover?
A: Count the bolts across the front edge. Three across the front means 14 total and this set is right. Four across the front means 15 total and you need the Euro 4 and 4JJ3 set linked above.
Q: Do these fit HPD alloy rocker covers?
A: Yes, and they fit factory covers too. Same bolt pattern.
Q: Can I use them on a different engine?
A: No. They are sized for the 4JJ1-TC rocker cover bolt pattern and thread specification. Do not assume another engine matches.
Q: Are they stronger than the factory bolts?
A: They do the same job to the same standard. What you gain is corrosion resistance and appearance, not clamping force.
Q: Can I order just the bolts, or just the washers?
A: This is a matched set of 14 bolts and 14 washers. Contact us if you need something different and we will see what we can arrange.
Q: Will the anodised colour fade?
A: Quality anodising is durable, but engine bay heat can dull it over a long time. The washers keep working and stay corrosion resistant either way.
Q: Are these genuine HPD?
A: Yes. They come from HPD Special Part Racing Shop in Thailand, not from a copy factory.
