By reducing the temperature of the intake air, this N70 BRD intercooler kit increases its density, allowing more oxygen to be packed into the combustion chamber. 

In diesel engines, cooler intake air also contributes to lower exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs). Lower EGTs are beneficial as they reduce the thermal stress on engine components, leading to improved reliability and longevity of the engine.
