Most aftermarket 4JJ1 performance cams only suit the early aluminium rocker cover engines. This FuseTech intake + exhaust camshaft set is built for the DPF-era 4JJ1-TCX — the Euro 5 engine introduced with the MY17 update (plastic rocker cover, roller rocker valvetrain) — and the 4JJ3 in the current-generation D-MAX, MU-X and BT-50. Revised lobe profiles run more lift and duration than the factory sticks, moving more air in and more exhaust energy out for stronger response and top-end pull on tuned builds.
⚠️ PERFORMANCE UPGRADE: Professional installation strongly recommended. Factory camshaft gears must be transferred onto these camshafts, and cam timing must be set correctly. ECU tuning recommended to get the full benefit.

A: Yes — that's exactly what this set is designed for. The MY17-on 4JJ1-TCX DPF engine uses a revised valvetrain (plastic rocker cover, roller rockers) that most aftermarket 4JJ1 cams don't cover.
Q: Do these suit the 4JJ3 in the 2020+ D-MAX and BT-50?
A: Yes. The set fits the 4JJ3 as found in the current-generation Isuzu D-MAX, MU-X and Mazda BT-50.
Q: Will they fit my 2012–2016 D-MAX?
A: No. Pre-DPF 4JJ1s (aluminium rocker cover, 2005–2016) use the earlier valvetrain and need a different camshaft set. Check your rocker cover and injector codes if unsure.
Q: Do I need to reuse my factory cam gears?
A: Yes. The factory camshaft gears are transferred from your original camshafts onto the FuseTech camshafts during installation.
