A: Yes, that's exactly what this set is designed for. The DPF-era 4JJ1-TCX (from mid-2016 in Australia) uses a revised valvetrain (plastic rocker cover, roller rockers) that most aftermarket 4JJ1 cams don't cover.

Q: Are the DPF 4JJ1 and 4JJ3 camshafts really interchangeable?

A: Yes, at OE level. Isuzu's parts catalogue lists both engines against the same base camshaft numbers (intake 8-98228-490-2, exhaust 8-98228-493-2), with the 4JJ3 receiving later revisions of the same parts. One performance set covers both engines.

Q: Will they fit my 2012-2016 D-MAX?

A: No. Pre-DPF 4JJ1s (aluminium rocker cover, 2005 to mid-2016) use the earlier valvetrain and need a different camshaft set. Check your rocker cover and injector codes if unsure.
