Q: Do I need tuning after installing this exhaust cam?

A: Not essential, but highly recommended to get the most from it and to optimise fuel delivery.

Q: Should I upgrade both intake and exhaust cams?

A: For best results, yes. The FuseTech intake and exhaust cams work together to move air in and out. You can run the exhaust cam alone if budget is tight.

Q: Will this make my ute louder?

A: Yes. The extended exhaust duration gives a more aggressive note, most noticeable with a high-flow exhaust.

Q: Will I need new valve springs?

A: No. Stock valve lift means OE springs typically work fine. Your installer should check spring condition during the job.

Q: How much power will I gain?

A: It depends on supporting mods and tuning. Best results come with both cams, exhaust, intercooler, turbo and an ECU tune.

Q: Can I run this with a stock exhaust?

A: Yes, but gains will be minimal. The cam shines with a high-flow 3 inch exhaust.

Q: What is the difference between the intake and exhaust cams?

A: The intake cam controls air entering the cylinder. The exhaust cam controls burnt gas leaving it. Both together give the best result.
