β Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will this work on my stock VNT turbo?
A: No. VNT turbos (factory CT16V, RHV5 etc) are ECU controlled and don't use a wastegate signal line. Boost tees suit wastegated turbos only.
Q: How much boost can I add?
A: That depends on your actuator, turbo and tune. Wind it in gradually while monitoring boost and EGTs β and make sure your fuelling supports the extra air.
Q: Do I need a tune?
A: Not to fit it, but adequate fuelling and monitoring (boost + EGT gauges) are essential before raising boost. A tune is where the real gains live.
Q: Where does it mount?
A: Inline in the wastegate actuator signal hose. The included bracket lets you mount it somewhere accessible for adjustment.
