Quick check: the code on top of your injector starts with 5F. A code starting with 72 is the 2012 to 2016 pre-DPF engine and takes 095000-8340. 9F is the 2017 to 2020 DPF engine and takes 295050-2420. A9 is a 4JJ3 and takes 295700-1060. None of those are this part.

Later revisions in the same family (095000-6983, 095000-6985, Isuzu 8-98011604-3 and -5) are direct interchanges. Not sure? Add your VIN or State and Rego to the order notes and we will confirm before dispatch.

Do it properly: the complete genuine fitting kit with copper washers, O-rings, seals and hardware. Early 3-bolt cover.

Bare minimum: new seat washers and O-rings only. They are single-use crush seals.

Reusing old injector lines is the usual cause of a post-install leak. Replace them with new injectors.

Pro tip: never reuse the seat washers. A reused washer is the usual cause of injector rattle and blow-by on a fresh set. Prime the fuel system before cranking and check the return line assembly for leaks.

• Enter each injector's 5F compensation code into the ECU in the correct cylinder position, then run the injector learn procedure with a suitable scan tool.
• Clean the bores and seat faces, remove carbon, fit new seat washers and O-rings, torque the clamp bolts to Isuzu specification.
• Clean-room practice. A single speck of grit in a common rail injector is enough to cause a misfire or a stuck needle.
• Installation by a qualified diesel technician recommended.
