The factory 70 Series clutch is at its limit with an exhaust and a tune. NPC's Super Heavy Duty organic 1300 kit is the standard fix: a 300mm organic disc on an NPC-modified high clamp cover, matched to a dedicated NPC billet steel flywheel, fitted as a set. NPC's calculated maximum is 1300Nm at the flywheel, with an organic disc that still takes off like a Cruiser and a pedal that stays manageable.

Rule of thumb: factory turbo with a tune, this kit. GCG or Garrett turbo upgrade with +30 or +60 injectors, the 1600. Unsure? Message us with your mods and what you tow.
Braided Clutch Line
The 70 Series has a hydraulic accumulator in the clutch line. Bypassing it with a braided line removes fluid dampening for a more direct pedal and sharper engagement. NPC offer it as an optional extra; message us to add one.
Fitting and Bed-In
- Fit to NPC's standard. NPC publish fitting sheets on their Resources page. Before fitting, trial the disc on the gearbox spline and check cover and release bearing height.
- The supplied billet flywheel comes machined and ready to fit. Fit the kit as a set; do not mix this cover and disc with the factory flywheel.
- Inspect the fork, pivot, slave cylinder and rear main seal while the gearbox is out.
- Bed in for 1,000 km of normal driving. It is the gear changes that bed it in. No burnouts, flat changes or towing until then.
What to Expect
- Pedal: firmer than factory, still comfortable for daily driving and towing.
- Rated capacity assumes a healthy drivetrain, correct fitment and a sensible tune.
- Some setups show light gear rattle at idle with a single mass billet flywheel. Normal.
- NPC warranty excludes shudder, slip, pedal feel and harsh engagement on vehicles outside original specification, which includes tuned builds. Fit it properly and bed it in and you will not need it.

Q: What is it rated to?
A: NPC's calculated maximum is 1300Nm at the flywheel. A remapped 70 Series on a 3 inch exhaust typically makes 600 to 700Nm at the wheels, so this kit has real headroom.
Q: Does it use my factory flywheel?
A: No. The NPC billet steel flywheel is included and the kit must be fitted as a set with it.
Q: Will the pedal be heavy?
A: Firmer than stock, but NPC keep it manageable for a daily-driven Cruiser.
Q: 1300 or 1600?
A: Tune and exhaust on the factory turbo, this kit. Turbo and injector upgrades or heavy towing on serious power, the 1600.
Q: Does it fit a DPF 79?
