The top of the NPC 70 Series range. A 325mm organic disc, the biggest NPC put behind a 1VD, on an NPC-modified high clamp cover and a dedicated billet steel flywheel, with a new concentric slave cylinder in the box. NPC's calculated maximum is 1600Nm at the flywheel. Built for turbo and injector upgrades, GVM upgrades and heavy towing on serious power, and still an organic disc, so it engages like a clutch and not a light switch.

Rule of thumb: a GCG Stage 3 or Garrett PowerMax with +30 or +60 injectors, or a GVM-upgraded truck that tows at its limit, is 1600 territory. Factory turbo with a tune, the 1300 will do it. Unsure? Message us with your mods and what you tow.
Braided Clutch Line
The 70 Series has a hydraulic accumulator in the clutch line. Bypassing it with a braided line removes fluid dampening for a more direct pedal and sharper engagement. NPC offer it as an optional extra; message us to add one.
Fitting and Bed-In
- Fit to NPC's standard. NPC publish fitting sheets on their Resources page. Before fitting, trial the disc on the gearbox spline and check cover and release bearing height.
- The supplied billet flywheel comes machined and ready to fit. Fit the kit as a set; do not mix this cover and disc with the factory flywheel.
- Fit the supplied slave cylinder and bleed the system properly. Inspect the fork, pivot and rear main seal while the gearbox is out.
- Bed in for 1,000 km of normal driving. It is the gear changes that bed it in. No burnouts, flat changes or towing until then.
What to Expect
- Pedal: firmer than factory. NPC keep it manageable for a daily-driven and towing Cruiser despite the rating.
- Rated capacity assumes a healthy drivetrain, correct fitment and a sensible tune.
- Some setups show light gear rattle at idle with a single mass billet flywheel. Normal.
- NPC warranty excludes shudder, slip, pedal feel and harsh engagement on vehicles outside original specification, which is every vehicle this kit goes into. Fit it properly and bed it in.
