Upgrade your Hilux the right way – NPC's NPC7678-1D Super Heavy Duty 750Nm clutch & billet flywheel package is built for the 1KD-FTV 3.0L D-4D. This is NPC's top organic tier for the N70 – aimed at heavily modified, tuned and hard-worked builds that need maximum holding power with proper street manners.

🛠 Install Notes
- Recommended upgrade: NPC braided clutch hose (damper delete) – sharper pedal & reliability
- The billet flywheel must be machined before the new clutch is fitted – NPC warranty is void otherwise
- Torque to spec, align properly, and bed in for 1,000km of gentle around-town driving (it's the gear changes that bed it in)
- Inspect fork pivot, slave cylinder & rear main while you're in there
⚠ Important Notes
- Pedal feel: expect a noticeably firmer pedal than stock – this is normal for a high-clamp upgraded cover
- Rated capacity assumes a healthy drivetrain and correct tune
- Some setups may exhibit light gear rattle at idle with a single-mass billet flywheel
- If fitting the braided line / damper delete, NPC note this can introduce a slight pedal pulsation (normally dampened by the factory accumulator); this is not covered under warranty

❓ FAQs
Will the pedal feel heavier than standard?
Yes. This is a high-clamp Super Heavy Duty cover, so the pedal is noticeably firmer than the factory clutch. It's still comfortable enough for daily and around-town driving – just expect more weight underfoot than stock. A braided line / damper delete sharpens the feel further.
Is the flywheel dual-mass or single-mass?
Single-mass billet steel flywheel – stable under heat and serviceable. It must be machined before the clutch is installed.
Is it good for towing?
Yes. The higher clamp and billet flywheel make it ideal for towing, touring and tuned big-power builds, provided it's installed and bedded in correctly.
How is this different to the 650Nm kit?
This NPC7678-1D is the Super Heavy Duty tier (750Nm) for heavily modified builds. Our 650Nm Heavy Duty Organic kit (NPC8006-1B) suits tuned utes with minor supporting mods. Same 275mm diameter – the 7678-1D uses NPC's upgraded Super Heavy Duty plate spec for more headroom.
Do I really need the braided line?
Strongly recommended. It removes the factory damper, improves pedal feel and reduces common hydraulic issues.
How long is the warranty?
12 months / 20,000km NPC warranty (conditions apply – flywheel must be machined and the kit fitted to NPC's standard).
