The Flex 44mm VNT turbo is a true bolt-on upgrade for Toyota's 1KD-FTV 3.0L D-4D engine fitted to the Hilux N70 (KUN26, 2005–2015), Prado KDJ120 (2003–2009), and Prado KDJ150 (2009–2015). Built around a 44mm billet compressor wheel in factory variable-nozzle housing geometry, it gives you more airflow, faster spool, and harder boost - while keeping your OEM exhaust, intercooler piping, and oil/coolant lines exactly where they are. No fabrication. No re-plumbing. Bolt it on, get it tuned, and go.

Q: Is this a true direct bolt-on for my Hilux N70 or Prado?
A: Yes. Mounts to the factory exhaust manifold, dump pipe, intercooler piping, and OEM oil/coolant hardlines on the Hilux N70, Prado KDJ120, and Prado KDJ150. No fabrication, no cutting.
Q: What power can I expect?

Q: Do I need a tune?
A: Maybe - We sell these turbos as requiring a tune, but plenty of customers have reported driving them without a tune without issues.
Q: Do I have to buy a new actuator?
A: No - your factory VNT stepper is re-used. Replacement actuators available above if yours is faulty.
Q: How much boost can it safely run?
A: With supporting mods and a proper tune, 28–30 psi as a daily/tow target, up to 35 psi peak on dedicated performance builds.
Q: What injectors do I need?
A: Stock injectors are fine up to ~200 RWHP. Above that you'll see smoke and rising EGTs - go to MCR +30 Injectors / Nozzles for ~220–260 RWHP, or MCR +50 nozzles for 260+ RWHP.
Q: Will it work on my auto?
A: Yes - fits manual and auto 1KDs equally. With auto trans builds we recommend an upgraded transmission cooler if you're towing or running over 250 RWHP regularly.
Q: Can I run it without changing the exhaust?
A: It will physically work on the factory 2.5" exhaust, but you'll see significant backpressure above 25 psi. We strongly recommend a 3" turbo-back to fully unlock the turbo.
Q: How long is the warranty?
A: 12 months manufacturer's warranty plus your full rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
