Common Questions

Q: Will this void my Toyota warranty?

A: No. Aftermarket protection devices don't void warranty under Australian Consumer Law.

Q: Why is it not compatible with Kaymar rear bars?

A: The mounting location under the driver's rear quarter panel may interfere with certain Kaymar rear bar configurations. Check clearances before ordering.

Q: Do I really need to remove the spare tire?

A: Yes. Spare tire removal is required for proper access to the mounting location. It simplifies installation significantly.

Q: How long does installation take?

A: 2.5–3.5 hours for experienced DIYers. Professional installation typically takes 2–3 hours.

Q: Why does it mount under the chassis instead of in the engine bay?

A: The LC300's V6 engine bay has limited space. Chassis mounting provides better access for servicing and allows dual battery compatibility.

Q: What's the inline hand pump for?

A: It's used to prime the system during installation and future filter changes. Keep it in the vehicle for servicing.
