4JJ1 +30% and +50% Modified Injectors: Isuzu D-MAX, Colorado RC and Rodeo RA7 (2007 to 2012)

Set of 4. Genuine Denso 095000-6980 bodies fitted with MCR Performance +30% or +50% nozzles. Built to order for tuned pre-DPF 4JJ1-TC engines.

MCR Performance Nozzles Genuine Denso Bodies +30% or +50% Nominal Flow Set of 4, No Core Deposit Tune Required Afterpay, Humm, Klarna, Zip Free Express Shipping AU

Brand new genuine Denso 095000-6980 injector bodies, opened up on our bench and fitted with MCR Performance +30% or +50% nozzles. Same body, same solenoid, same 5F coding as the factory injector, with more fuel per stroke at the same pulse width. Pick the variant for your build: +30 for a tuned truck on the factory or a mildly upgraded turbo, +50 for a turbo upgraded build with the fuel supply to match.

Fitment: Is This the Right Injector?
Vehicle Engine Build dates Code prefix
Isuzu D-MAX 4JJ1-TC 3.0L, pre-DPF 10/2008 to 05/2012 5F
Holden Colorado RC 4JJ1-TC 3.0L, pre-DPF 07/2008 to 05/2012 5F
Holden Rodeo RA7 4JJ1-TC 3.0L, pre-DPF 10/2007 to 10/2008 5F

Quick check: the code on top of your injector starts with 5F. A code starting with 72 is the 2012 to 2016 pre-DPF engine and takes 095000-8340: we build modified sets on that body too, message us. 9F is the 2017 to 2020 DPF engine and takes the 4JJ1 DPF +50 injectors. A9 is a 4JJ3 and takes the 4JJ3 +30 injectors. None of those are this part.

Not sure? Add your VIN or State and Rego to the order notes and we will confirm before dispatch.

What You Are Buying

Body

Genuine Denso 095000-6980, brand new. Isuzu 8-98011604. Not a recon, not an exchange core.

Nozzle

MCR Performance +30% or +50%, nominal flow over standard. Fitted and matched on our bench. Pick the variant above.

Factory turbo

+30 yes, with a tune. The remap sets how much of the extra fuel gets used, so a stock turbo build runs a conservative map and still picks up torque.

Turbo upgrade

Where +50 earns its keep. The CRC F44, PKS 44mm and Greddy F55 all suit the pre-DPF 4JJ1.

Sizing: MCR size nozzles by boost, not percentage. The +30 is their nozzle for builds up to around 45 psi. Past that, the +50, and the factory pump becomes the next limit: see the 4JJ1 stroker pump or stroker shaft. Tell us your turbo and boost target and we will confirm the variant before you order.

What Else You Need for the Install

Do it properly: the complete genuine fitting kit with copper washers, O-rings, seals and hardware. Early 3-bolt cover.

Add 4JJ1 Fitting Kit (Complete)

Bare minimum: new seat washers and O-rings only. They are single-use crush seals.

Add Injector Washer and O-Ring Kit

Reusing old injector lines is the usual cause of a post-install leak. Replace them with new injectors.

Add 4JJ1 Injector Lines

Pro tip: absolute cleanliness. One speck of grit in a common rail injector is enough to cause a misfire or a stuck needle. Never reuse seat washers.

Standard replacements instead? See the genuine Denso 095000-6980 set. Bodies still good? +30 nozzles only.

Fitting and Coding Notes
  • Clean the bores and seat faces, fit new seat washers and O-rings, torque the clamp bolts to Isuzu specification.
  • Enter the 5F code printed on each injector body into the ECU in the correct cylinder position, then run the injector learn procedure.
  • Prime the fuel system before cranking and check the return line assembly for leaks.
  • Check return rates and rail control on the first drive, then get it tuned before driving it hard.
  • Installation by a qualified diesel technician recommended.

Modified Injector Disclaimer

Where a modified or oversized injector is advertised or sold as a Genuine injector, including Denso, the term Genuine refers only to the injector body. It does not refer to the nozzle.

The injector body remains genuine. The nozzle and the overall flow characteristics differ from original OEM specification. Flow percentages are nominal and vary with rail pressure, pulse width and test bench.

Any change to emissions equipment or calibration must comply with the laws that apply to your vehicle and its use.

VIN and Compatibility Disclaimer

When you provide your VIN or rego we will confirm the injector type your vehicle left the factory with. This may not be correct if the injectors, harness or ECU have previously been changed.

It is the customer's responsibility to verify injector compatibility before installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need a tune?

A: Yes. An ECU remap is essential. The factory map does not know the nozzle changed, and at +50 the smoke will tell you fast.

Q: Will these work on a stock turbo?

A: +30 yes, with a tune written for it. +50 wants a turbo upgrade to use the fuel.

Q: Are these new Denso injectors?

A: Yes. Brand new genuine Denso 095000-6980 bodies fitted with MCR Performance nozzles. No exchange, no reconditioned cores.

Q: Do I code them?

A: Enter the 5F code printed on each injector body into the ECU in the correct cylinder position and run the injector learn. Your tuner will normally do this with the remap.

Q: Will these fit a 2012 to 2016 or a 2017 to 2020 D-MAX?

A: No. The 2012 to 2016 pre-DPF engine uses the 095000-8340 injector with 72 codes, and we build modified sets on that body too. The 2017 to 2020 DPF engine uses 295050-2420 with 9F codes.

Q: Should I choose +30 or +50?

A: +30 suits a tuned street, tow and touring build on the factory or a mildly upgraded turbo. +50 is for a turbo upgraded build with the fuel supply to match. Message us with your build if unsure.
