Q: Is the F55 a direct bolt-on to my factory turbo position?
A: No. The F55 mounts to an F44/F55-pattern aftermarket manifold with an aftermarket dump pipe – it is not a drop-in replacement for the factory turbo.
Q: Do I need a tune?
A: Yes. A custom ECU remap is required to run the F55 safely and make the most of the extra airflow.
Q: How much boost can I run?
A: That depends on your actuator and tune. With the included actuator you're in factory-plus territory; upgrading to the 25 PSI actuator lifts total boost to around 30 PSI, tune dependent.
Q: F55 or a 44mm turbo?
A: The F55's 10-blade compressor is all about spool and response. If you're chasing maximum top-end airflow, look at the F46 or the Flex F55 range instead – or message us with your build goals.
Q: Will it fit my 2016+ D-MAX?
A: Later 4JJ1-TCX (2016–2020) engines require DPF/EGR deletes and custom work. Contact us before ordering.
