• Only want to block it off? The 1KD EGR Blanking Plates leave the cooler and pipe in the car and simply block the gas path. Quicker, cheaper, and it does not clean up the engine bay.

• The EGR must be tuned out in the ECU. Skip it and you will get DTCs.
• Sort the coolant lines. With the cooler gone, the coolant lines have to be capped or looped depending on your setup. Work out which before you pull it apart.
• Recheck after the first heat cycle. Go back over the clamp and fastener torque once it has been up to temperature.

This is emissions hardware. Removing it is for off-road and motorsport use, and it is generally not legal on a road-registered vehicle in Australia. Check your state's requirements before you buy, because compliance is your call and your responsibility.

Deleting the EGR and retuning the ECU can affect a manufacturer's willingness to cover a later engine or emissions claim. It does not remove your rights under the Australian Consumer Law for the kit itself, which is covered for any fault in the parts as supplied.

Q: Will this fit my 1KD-FTV?

A: It suits the Hilux N70 (KUN26) and the Prado 120 and 150 with the 1KD-FTV. It does not fit the Hiace 1KD. Send us your VIN or rego and we will confirm.

Q: Do I need a tune after deleting the EGR?

A: Yes. The EGR has to be disabled in the ECU, or run through an approved harness where one applies, otherwise you will throw fault codes. Budget for the tune when you budget for the kit.

Q: Is this a full delete or just blanking plates?

A: A full cooler and pipe delete. The cooler and pipe come out entirely, which is the more thorough approach and the one that holds up long term. If you only want blanking plates, they are linked above.

Q: Is this required for the HPD intake manifold?

A: Yes. Fitting either HPD 1KD intake manifold on an N70 or KUN26 requires this kit.

Q: What about the coolant lines?

A: With the cooler out you need to cap or loop them. Check your specific setup during the install.

Q: Can I put it back to standard later?

A: Only if you keep the factory cooler, pipe and hardware. Put them in a box, not in the bin.
