HPD 1KD Intake Manifold, 3 Inch Raw Alloy

3 Inch Inlet | Raw Unfinished Alloy | Hilux N70 and Prado 120 / 150

HPD Special Parts 3 Inch High-Flow Raw Alloy Finish Afterpay, Humm, Klarna, Zip Free Express Shipping AU

The factory 1KD intake is 2.5 inch with a throttle plate and swirl flaps in the way. This HPD manifold is a 3 inch straight-through path in raw, uncoated alloy. It is the plain version: no paint, no anodising, no powder coat, just the bare metal finish. Everything else about it is the same serious install as the coloured manifolds.

What It Does
  • 3 inch inlet against the factory 2.5 inch. A large step up in airflow at the point the standard manifold chokes.
  • No restrictive bends. Straight-through design with no throttle plate and no swirl flaps.
  • Sharper response and a louder induction note. An unrestricted intake sounds like one.
  • Raw alloy finish. Tough industrial look, left bare. If you want colour, look at the lobster manifolds below.
  • Honest about gains. The manifold removes restriction. It makes its best numbers when it is paired with a turbo upgrade and a proper tune.

Fitment
  • Toyota Hilux N70. 1KD-FTV, 2005 to 2015.
  • Toyota Prado 120 and 150. 1KD-FTV, 2003 to 2015.

Front-mount intercooler only. This manifold does not work with a factory top-mount setup, and your existing piping will normally need modification to suit the 3 inch inlet. If you are still on the top-mount, sort that first.

Which 1KD Intake Manifold Do I Need

All four are 3 inch and all four need a front-mount intercooler. The install work is the same in every case. What changes is the finish and the body. This one is the option to pick if you plan to coat or wrap it yourself, or you simply want the bare look.

What Is Included
  • HPD raw alloy intake manifold. One manifold, 3 inch.

The barb fitting and silicone hose for the MAP sensor, the EGR delete kit and any intercooler piping are required for the job and are sold separately.

What Else You Need
  • ECU remap, required. The tune has to remove the EGR sensors, throttle body and swirl flap logic. This is mandatory for the manifold to work properly.
  • 1KD EGR delete kit, required. This manifold has no EGR provision. Use the HPD 1KD EGR Delete Kit.
  • MAP sensor relocation. Needs a barb adapter and 3 mm silicone hose.
  • High pressure fuel lines bent to clear. The return line also needs modification.
  • Glow plug wiring and the 12V rail. May need adjustment depending on your setup.
  • Intercooler piping. Custom or modified piping to suit your FMIC.

Not plug and play. This is a build part for confident installers and workshops that know 1KD performance work. If reshaping high pressure fuel lines is not something you want to take on, book it in with someone who does it regularly.

Read This Before You Order

This manifold deletes emissions hardware and requires an ECU remap. It is recommended for off-road and motorsport use, and removing EGR and emissions equipment is generally not legal on a road-registered vehicle in Australia. Check your local requirements before you buy, because compliance is your responsibility.

If any part of the required work above is a surprise, talk to us before you order rather than after.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this plug and play?

A: No. It needs an ECU remap, MAP sensor relocation, fuel line modification and an EGR delete. Professional installation is strongly recommended.

Q: Will it work with my top-mount intercooler?

A: No. Front-mount intercooler only. It does not work with the factory top-mount.

Q: What ECU work is required?

A: A full remap to remove the EGR sensors, throttle body and swirl flap logic. It is mandatory, not optional.

Q: Can I install it myself?

A: Only if you are experienced with complex diesel modifications. Most customers use a workshop familiar with 1KD performance builds.

Q: What else do I need to buy?

A: A MAP sensor barb adapter, 3 mm silicone hose and the HPD 1KD EGR Delete Kit. You may also need custom intercooler piping depending on your FMIC.

Q: Will it improve performance?

A: It is a significant airflow improvement over the factory 2.5 inch intake. On its own it removes restriction; the real gains come when it is combined with a turbo upgrade and proper tuning.

Q: Is it legal for road use?

A: Generally no. Removing EGR and emissions equipment is typically not legal on a road-registered vehicle. Off-road and race use only.

Q: Why is this one cheaper looking than the coloured ones?

A: It is not coated. Raw alloy is the finish, not a fault. If you want colour, the lobster manifolds are linked above.
